I live in Carefree, Arizona with my husband of sixteen years and three beautiful daughters. I grew up being a voracious reader and had always thought about writing a book. I started out by writing several stories for kids that will likely never be read by anyone besides my own daughters (and rightly so). I then decided to try my hand at writing a young adult novel. I released my first YA novel, The Day We Met, in November of 2011. Sales took off almost immediately and as of January 2015, over 20,000 copies of The Day We Met have been sold. I released my second and third YA novels, Grace and Daises and The Boy who Loved Me, in 2013. I am currently working on my first middle grade novel.
My day job is full-time homeschooling super mom, so writing must be done in tidbits in between school work, cooking, running to classes and activities, grocery shopping, diaper changes, bath time, and the million other things moms do. I love my job as a mom, though, and wouldn’t change it for the world. I fancy myself a bit of a foodie and love to cook and try new things. I also enjoy bike rides with my kids and taking in the wonderful smells of the desert as much as possible.
